My poem "Modesty" went live on Monday at The Sword Review. The teaser (which they wrote this time) says, "A futuristic spin on the nature versus nurture debate." The poem covers, well, covers (clothing), fashion, and life on Fifth Avenue in New York in a fairly short space. In the announcement for the poem in their forum, they referred to me as, "one of our most popular poets." That was pleasant news to me. :-)
I've added a few more players to the Sporty Spec squad. The new additions are in bold:
Daniel Ausema, "City of Games," fantasy/uniquesport story.
Paul L. Bates, "Prey," fantasy/hunting story.
Ruth Berman, "Dealing in Tarot," fantasy/cards poem.
G. O. Clark, "Virtual Pong Circa 35,000 B.C.," sf/pong poetry reprint (Pirate Writings Magazine, Vol. 4, No. 4, 1996.)
C. A. Gardner, "Riding to Faery," fantasy/chess poetry reprint (Mythic Delirium, Iss. 6, Winter/Spring 2002).
Jo L. Gerrard, "Somewhere, the Sun is Shining," sf/baseball story.
Alex Dally MacFarlane, "Jumping Over the Moon," fantasy/uniquesport story.
E. C. Myers, "Perpetual Check," fantasy/chess story.
Brian Rosenberger, "Menace Anyone," horror/tennis poem.
Lawrence Schimel, "The Court Photographer," fantasy/basketball story.
Marge Simon, "Ebonmadder's Run," sf poetry/racing reprint (Space & Time, Spring 2000).
Marcie Lynn Tentchoff, "Star Boarding," sf/sailboarding poem.
I've now answered all submissions through May 13th. The anthology is starting to shape up. :-)
