Bob and I bought a new digital camera over the Memorial Day weekend. I was much more excited about it than I expected or had any right to be. It's just so freakin' cute and petite, I almost had impure thoughts about it. ;-)
Of course, we didn't buy it just because it's adorable. We did make a list of all the features we were looking for, and this one came closest in all the departments. It's a Canon PowerShot SD800 IS "Digital Elph." Here are a couple of pix of it taken with our old dinosaur Olympus D460, which is about seven years old now, but has served us really well. Every now and then it strikes me as a shame that our tools become obsolete so quickly in the digital age, but those are thoughts for another time.
The top shot is my hand and the bottom is Bob's. I'm concerned that the Elph may be too small for his hands, because he dropped it about three minutes out of the box. Thank the analog elves that he was standing over thick carpeting rather than the kitchen tile.
Okay, no impure thoughts now. I don't want to be accused of pandering.
