Here's the cover for my next anthology, Retro Spec: Tales of Fantasy and Nostalgia. The art, which I call, "The Star Clock," has as its main feature a photo I took of the face of an antique Seth Thomas mantel clock my dad owned for many years. When Dad moved to a nursing home, he offered me the clock, so I shipped it home to California. I know he'll be thrilled that this clock he prized for so many years has been reimagined as a book cover.
The font is Parisian BT, my favorite font. (Yes, I have a favorite font, which surely must qualify me for Geeks Anonymous.) In addition to being my favorite, it's very art deco, which suits the retro theme well, especially the several 30s stories contained in the anthology. In fact, I was quite surprised that the most popular decade for submissions to Retro Spec was the 30s. Who knew the 30s were so inspirational?
