The proof copy of Retro Spec: Tales of Fantasy and Nostalgia arrived on my doorstep Saturday. Yes, the precious is here and she's GORGEOUS! Here I be with her in the backyard.
To finish out the "demon delivery gods" saga started in an earlier post, I received the proof a day after the promised overnight delivery by UPS. Based on the fact that UPS claimed they'd left it on my porch (while we were home), I can only assume it was delivered to the wrong house and dropped off by a neighbor the next morning.
Next up on the Retro Spec front will be to order some copies to send out as advance review copies.
Now I can relax a little, as I was also trying to get SFPA's 2010 Rhysling Anthology submitted for distribution/printing during the same week (Raven Electrick Ink is the cooperating publisher this year), and I've already made a mental note NOT to submit two titles during the same week ever again. Just a little too much stress. (Even Bob, my barometer for normalcy, thought it was stressful.)
